Lesson / WY-01-05
Increasing effort means the current bar or swing has more trading activity than its comparison; diminishing results means directional displacement does not increase accordingly. Results can be measured through body, net displacement, retained movement at the close, incremental distance beyond the previous same-direction extreme, and persistence after a crossing. Specify which measure weakens: a wide-range bar may have little net result because it closes back down, and a long rally may barely exceed the prior high.
