Lesson / WY-01-07
The method originated in stock selection. In index futures, foreign exchange, commodities, or cryptoassets, preserve the question each step answers rather than force its original form. A single index contract has no stock universe to screen, so step two may compare related maturities or indices with clear economic links. If no stable reference exists, omit that screen and analyze the instrument directly. Forcing a recent correlation into the process imports a relationship that may disappear under stress.
