Lesson / WY-04-21
A distribution assessment can fail at three levels. First, a local event fails to produce its expected result; withdraw only that event's support for the short case. Second, the anticipated sequence of 'Upthrust, breakdown, rally back' does not occur, while the range could still end downward through another sequence. Third, the entire distribution assessment is contradicted: price advances through key areas and retains its gains, so the trend stop, demand tests, and weakness no longer support shorts. First specify whether the failure concerns an event, the anticipated sequence, or the whole structure.
