Similarities and Differences Between Continuation Structures, Tops, and Bottoms
Continuation and Complex Structures
Lesson / WY-05-22
Continuation and reversal can both show sideways movement, false breaks, tests, high volume, and volatility contraction. Static screenshots may look nearly identical. Their difference lies in context and outcome: continuation restores the original direction, while a top or bottom changes the main direction. Before an outside breakout holds, they remain competing hypotheses that shape alone cannot settle.
