Record Judgment, Rules, and Results Separately
The Complete Decision Process
Lesson / WY-07-30
Analytical judgment records contemporaneous facts, primary hypotheses, and competing explanations. Trading rules record actions conditional on specified events. Actual results record orders, fills, costs, slippage, and subsequent prices. Keeping them separate reveals whether a profit came from compliant execution and whether a loss still followed a reasonable decision.
