Why Breakouts or Breakdowns Lack Continuation
The Complete Decision Process
Lesson / WY-07-32
Crossing a boundary shows a visit to new prices, not acceptance there. Continued outside trading, expanding net progress, or a pullback that does not undo the break shows the direction holding. A retest is optional; when it occurs, it tests changed quotation and trading behavior near the old boundary. Former resistance becoming support, or support becoming resistance, is not the horizontal line itself exerting force.
