Volume Profile aggregates volume by price within a selected sample, answering where most trading occurred. Ordinary volume bars answer how much traded in each time unit. The raw records can be identical, but the organizing dimension differs: time bars preserve sequence, while Volume Profile emphasizes location. It supplements assessment of acceptance within ranges, the traded area a breakout leaves, and historical volume bands a retest may encounter. It is not part of Richard D. Wyckoff's original terminology. This appendix uses it as a modern location tool alongside the book's supply-and-demand, structural, and price-volume analysis.
