Price, Volume, Time, and Market Behavior

Lesson / WY-01-01
The Wyckoff method studies how the continuing interaction of supply and demand produces trends, pauses, and trading ranges. Charts provide the material for this study: price records the levels at which trades occurred, volume records how much trading was completed during each period, and time shows how long a condition lasted and the sequence in which changes occurred. Only by combining all three can we understand a rally in the context of the decline, consolidation, or breakout that preceded it.
