Meaning and Purpose of the Composite Operator
First Principles
Sam Rivera
Lesson / WY-01-02
The Composite Operator, also called the Composite Man, is an analytical model in the Wyckoff tradition for studying market behavior. It temporarily treats the combined results of many significant participants as the actions of a single purposeful actor constrained by liquidity. Its purpose is to help analysts consider how building, holding, and reducing large positions may leave persistent traces in time, price, and volume.
