Box Size, Reversal Boxes, X Columns, and O Columns
Decisions, Execution & Validation
Lesson / WY-06-26
Fixed box size, denoted b, must be greater than zero and represents the price distance between adjacent vertical grid lines. First establish a grid origin g; all valid grid lines are g+k×b, where k is an integer. Keep the origin fixed thereafter. Resetting the grid after price rises puts the same historical price into different boxes and prevents consistent manual checking. This chapter uses fixed price box sizes and does not mix percentage-based box sizes with fixed-box formulas.
