Point-and-Figure Charts and Price Target Estimation
Decisions, Execution & Validation

Full Chapters / WY-06-26
A point-and-figure chart (P&F) records movement in predetermined price units. No new box is added until price completes the required movement. Movement in the same direction extends the existing column, while a sufficient reversal starts a new column. Removing calendar time as the equally spaced horizontal unit emphasizes price movement, reversals, and horizontal structure. Wyckoff analysis uses horizontal P&F counts to convert the sideways activity formed within a trading range into a conditional estimate of potential subsequent price distance. Changing construction rules, price inputs, or count boundaries can change both chart and target, so every estimate must specify all parameters.
