Full Chapters / WY-06-25
Relative strength analysis addresses not whether an instrument will rise, but which instruments deserve priority for further study under the same market conditions. A price chart can show an instrument's own trend, trading ranges, and changes in price and volume, but cannot by itself establish whether that performance comes from a broad market advance or stronger demand for the instrument itself. Comparing it with the broad market, its industry, or another suitable benchmark allows us to distinguish shared movement from relative performance.
