The Nine Tests Within the Five-Step Method
Decisions, Execution & Validation
Lesson / WY-06-27
The five-step method first assesses the overall market's position and likely direction, then seeks instruments aligned with that direction and displaying suitable relative performance. It next estimates whether the cause already formed supports potential targets, checks readiness to act, and finally times participation with overall market changes. The nine tests verify individually whether target room, price-volume changes, trend, and relative strength support the existing structural assessment. The number of satisfied items cannot alone determine long or short direction. Even if many hold, a specific entry trigger and risk calculation are still required.
